My family and I came back to Positano after our vacation in Miami. The food was exceptional, and our food came out exactly as ordered. Thanks to a server named Enzo! My children loved him cause he made them smile all dinner long))) We will visit again soon but we must request Enzo once more, or my children won't attend. He is simply the best server personality we've ever encountered. Bravo for excellent food and ditto for Enzo!

5 stars today!! I haven't been here for a while as my last experience was not that great. I use to come here often and have been spending more time in Williamsburg and areas outside of BayRidge. My neighbor who moved to Singapore 10 years ago comes back to visit every year so we decided to give them another chance. Positano has stepped up there game! Great service from the valet, to the hostess, bus boy and waiter. Not rushed, great food, very courteous staff, very clean, nice crowd. Great upscale decor, a place to be scene, cozy place to go whether you sit indoors or outside. The bathrooms are spotless and fresh smelling. Amazing choice of steaks if you are a red meat fan. We had the mango salad and special appetizer. For mains I had the ahi tuna which was awesome. It had a chili sauce, fresh steamed spinach and potato croquette's. My friend had a pasta special which was great as well. We skipped desert as we were on a time constraint to visit a cigar bar in the neighborhood. After today I would definitely go back soon and recommend them. Was a really nice experience.

Food (7 out of 10): We will start with describing the best foods that we ordered in this restaurant. We ordered filet mignon carpaccio, crab cakes, baked clams, lobster ravioli, and artichoke. Everything was delicious, but we were not thrilled about the artichoke because it was fried, and dry, lacked succulency, and wasn't very tasty. Baked clams were good and also filet mignon carpaccio! Lobster ravioli was also good, and we loved a french Napoleon, which is a large portion, and was a bit too sweet for me, but the creme was delicious with berries. The Service (3 out of 10): Our waiter didn't smile, lacked humor, and was not very welcoming. I think he just wasn't personable. Didn't say thank you for the generous tip we left. There seemed to be the energy of tension in the restaurant and stress. Ambiance (3 out of 10): The music was too loud and we unfortunately sat by the speaker. When one is trying to enjoy such food, it is best not to play club music. Something slower, and more romantic would have been better on a Saturday night. We brought it up to 2 persons in personnel and they didn't change it. The seats though were comfortable. The bathroom has no tissues, and offered instead a dryer, which had a blue light, which emanated heat which wasn't pleasant. Although we made reservations, we had to wait for a long time to be seated. We were not sure if we would get a table. I didn't get the feeling that we were welcomed, in this restaurant probably because everyone was super busy serving others. The atmosphere was a bit chaotic. Sometimes people crave a calm place with delicious food and a calm classic music, but this wasn't the case, although we spent close to $300.

I had an amazing experience at this restaurant. The fried calamari was incredibly meaty and delicious. The pappardelle, my favorite, was cooked to perfection--al dente and full of flavor. The Campari spritz was excellent, and the cheesecake was exceptional. I had been bookmarking this place for a few years now and finally made it--it was well worth the wait! We came for my best friend's birthday, but I would gladly return for brunch or dinner. We sat outside, and the ambiance was fantastic. It truly felt like I was dining in Positano. I highly recommend this spot for a delightful meal and great vibes!

This was my first time coming to the restaurant. Went here for my wife's stepdad's birthday. There is outdoor and indoor seating. We sat inside. The restaurant is not big but a medium size restaurant. The staff and service are good. Our waiter Hugo was great He remembered the special to tell us. Not sure how he remembers so many dinner special. We order Buffalo Al Figo, Trio Calamari, Duxbury East Coast Oyster, Grilled Portobello Mushroom, 50oz Porterhouse Steak, Pasta Alla Nonna, Linguine Alla Vongole, Pappardelle Alla Bolognese, Tiramisu and Peroni beer. The food came pretty fast and it was very tasty. With the steak it comes with three sides. We ordered fried onion rings, Truffle Mac and cheese and sauteed spinach. Those were good. I would definitely come back here again. Great service, food and people. Thank you for everything.

I've never been this far into Bay ridge before. Positano was a cozy Italian restaurant with friendly service and an extensive dinner menu. We came for a work holiday dinner so without a doubt, we over ordered many delicious apps including the expertly fried calamari, the meatballs, salads and crab cakes. I was so full from the apps that I had to change my initial entree order from the steak to a pasta dish. The seafood pasta was very good. If it weren't so far into Brooklyn, I would definitely come back again irrespective of a planned work event.

Positano never disappoints, always delights. Greeted by housemade focaccia and delicious, slightly sweet camponatta, our dinner is off to a very nice start. My dinner of roast portobello mushroom layered with salad and enhanced with balsamic glaze / cheese, followed by porcini ravioli and capped with a sea bass entree. My wife enjoyed beet salad followed by a special If Dover Sole meunière, about which she raved. With excellent, friendly service by Enzo, our dinner was a great experience. Highly recommended.
